These last couple days have been misery for me. Sleep has been a rare but elusive treasure and it’s really been beating me down. Yesterday I did my normal night shift hours, and then had to stay up until around 1-2 so we could do flight pictures at work and I needed to get my flu ‘mist’. (That wasn’t fun… who thought of squirting liquid up your nose as a vaccination anyway?) What made it worst was I’ve been sick for the last couple days anyway. Sore throat, lost my voice, body all achey. Meh.
So after getting a couple hours of sleep, I had to wake up and take Tina to Cary (about 1.5 hours away) so she could get a book signed by Nicholas Sparks. And when I came home, I had to go straight to work. It sucked. The worst part is, today was supposed to be my day to sleep in, but I was woken up at around noon and haven’t been able to fall back asleep. I finally gave up and just got up anyway. Miserable I tell you.
One good thing did happen this week though. Final Fantasy 12 was released on Oct 31st. (That is the other reason I haven’t been able to sleep…) I’m about half way through the game now and it’s awesome. Gameplay is utterly amazing and the license system they use for your characters talents works wonderfully. (It actually reminds me of the sphere grid system from X which I thought was pretty good as well.) The animation is really well done as well. The hair and movements are very lifelike. Why couldn’t I work for Square/Enix? *la sigh*
Anyway, I’m going to go do homework and get started on next weeks assignment. I’ve been so busy at work lately that I’ve been falling behind. (As well as my crappy priorities which had me playing FF12 way later than I wanted to…)
